In 2005 the owner of Western RV Country purchased an NLL (National Lacrosse League) team for Edmonton! Western RV Country President Bruce Urban serves as Owner and Governor of Edmonton's Professional Lacrosse Team. "Lacrosse is now the sport of the century with a cool factor. It is unlike any sport in the world and I am excited to be a part of it", said Urban.

The Edmonton Rush introduced Edmonton to its first OCC Chopper, mascot 'Slush', the Edmonton's Crush Dance Team and loads of world renowned entertainers.

Although they all wished for a better result on the floor, they couldn't have asked for better fan support, placing sixth out of 11 teams in total attendance, while receiving tremendous support from the business community. With this outstanding backing, they are proud of the accomplishments of their first season as Edmonton proved itself once again to be a City of Champions full of devoted sports fans. They are now working to make their second season even better than the first!

Their young team is developing and can only improve in the upcoming years. With stars such as Jimmy Quinlan, Kevin Howard and Jamey Bowen, and strong leaders Andrew Turner and Pat Campbell, along with 2006 NLL All Star Cam Bergman, the Edmonton Rush future is bright and full of potential.

Together, we will cheer on the Edmonton Rush to a victorious 2009 season!
